Our Guarantee and Return Policy
With the following exceptions, any product may be returned for any reason, if in new condition (including manufacturer's packaging!), for exchange, credit, or refund, within 30 days of the purchase date.
EXCEPTIONS:
Although we cannot guarantee your picking skills, SouthOrd® Lock Picks are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 30 days. Our E Series Electric picks are warranted for six months, and our LAT-17 is warranted for one year. SouthOrd MAX® Lock Picks feature a lifetime guarantee (excludes abuse to the tools).
Locksmithing Tools may be returned, if in new condition, for credit to your account toward the purchase of another product, or for replacement if defective.
Books are not returnable, and video tapes, DVD's and CD's may be returned for replacement if defective.
Orders canceled after shipping has occurred will be charged a 20% restocking fee, and shipping charges are nonrefundable.
Shipping Rates:
For our domestic customers: UPS has been our preferred shipper for more than twenty years, offering reliability and superior customer service to our customers and company. UPS shipping rates, however, have increased beyond what can reasonably be expected for low-valued orders. For this reason, orders valuing less than $200.00 will be shipped through the U.S. Postal Service. Orders valuing over $200.00 will be shipped by UPS, where possible (USPS will be used when shipping to PO Boxes, FPO/APO addresses, or addresses located outside of the Continental United States). UPS 3-Day Select, 2nd Day Air, and Next Day Air shipping options are available to addresses that are deliverable by UPS.
** Orders valuing less than $15.00 and containing only single lock picks / "TW" tension tools (excluding all MAX picks) are provided an "Economy" shipping option of $2.00 within the U.S., and $4.00 internationally for USPS First Class Mail.

For Our International Customers: Please allow 3-5 weeks for orders shipped First Class and 2-3 weeks for orders shipped Priority Mail (estimates do not include possible delays due to customs). Customers are responsible for any customs duties charged upon or following delivery.
Restrictions:
All too often, the virtues of "common sense" fall victim to political expediency and, one by one, personal freedoms are given up for the promise of public safety. No weapons may be sent to New York, New Jersey, California, Illinois, or Massachusetts, period - We send our apologies, but this includes orders placed by law enforcement personnel. Please check your local laws. Additionally, no weapons may be shipped internationally.
Buyer Responsibility:
It is the responsibility of the buyer, and not SouthOrd®, to ascertain and obey all applicable local, state and federal laws in regard to possession and use of any item ordered. Consult your local and state laws before ordering if you are in doubt. Absolutely No Sales To Minors! Therefore, orders paid by money order require proof of age, ie. copy of driver's license or birth certificate. By placing an order, the buyer asserts that the products ordered will be used in a lawful manner, that he/she is of legal age, and has never been convicted of a felony. By placing an order for locksmithing tools, the buyer asserts to be, without fraud or deception, a bonafied member of the locksmithing industry, or other qualified personnel.
